Privacy policy

1. Data controller

The data controller is Akendor, with the details shown at the bottom of this page. You can contact us with any privacy question at governance@akendor.com.

2. What data we collect

• Data you provide in the contact and registration forms: first name, last name, email address and the content of your message.
• Account data, if you sign up for the platform: email address, display name and profile picture, if any (including via Google sign-in).
• Data you enter in the dashboard: website settings, brand voice, sources, keywords, articles and generated images.
• Credentials for the systems you connect (for example a Firebase service account or a WordPress application password), which are encrypted.
• Aggregated, anonymous browsing data, collected with Vercel Web Analytics without using cookies.

3. Purposes and legal bases

• Responding to requests you send through the website forms (pre-contractual measures requested by the data subject).
• Managing registration and providing the service and your account (performance of the contract).
• Generating and publishing the content you request through the platform (performance of a contract).
• Ensuring the security of the platform and preventing abuse (legitimate interest).
• Measuring website usage in aggregate form to improve it (legitimate interest).

4. Providers and recipients of the data

To provide the service we rely on providers acting as data processors: Google Cloud and Firebase (hosting, database, authentication and storage), Vercel (hosting and aggregated statistics), Google (email service for form messages) and artificial intelligence model providers such as Google Gemini for content generation.

When you publish content to your websites, the necessary data is sent to the systems you connected (WordPress or Firebase). We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Chat with the site assistant: the questions you write to Kendo, the mascot, are saved together with the language and the page you send them from, without your name and without your IP address, and we read them to improve the service. To generate the answers, the text of your questions is sent to DeepSeek, an artificial intelligence provider whose servers are located in China. Do not write personal data in the chat.

We measure visits to the site with Vercel Web Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not identify you.

5. Transfers outside the European Union

Some providers may also process data outside the European Economic Area. In these cases the transfer is based on adequacy decisions of the European Commission or on standard contractual clauses.

6. Data retention

Messages sent through the forms are kept for as long as needed to respond and to manage any resulting relationship. Account data and dashboard content are kept while the account is active and deleted when it is closed, unless the law requires otherwise.

7. Use of content and artificial intelligence

The content you create or generate with Akendor is only used to provide the service to you. We do not use it to train artificial intelligence models.

8. Your rights

At any time you can request access to your data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interest, by writing to governance@akendor.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali) or with the supervisory authority of your country.
